A few Basketball cards

I picked up a few Ginter autos from a seller on eBay UK a few days ago. I had most of the sellers items on my watch list and managed to win the majority of their auctions. While I was waiting for the first card I was bidding on to end, I decided to take a look at the sellers other auctions and came across a few basketball cards.

Now I dont know a great deal about basketball but I did recognise a few names, that's what prompted me to put a bid on each card. I won all his basketball cards (I was the only bidder) and they arrived today along with the Ginter autos.

The cards above are 2008-09 Topps Treasury. The LeBron James is a ripped rip card and the Allen Iverson is the exclusive mini that was inside. Both cards were included in the same auction.

The James is numbered to 99 but has a huge rip down the back, which is what you would expect for a ripped rip card! The mini is numbered to 278.

Now I had heard of the above two players, the next two however I have no clue! Perhaps one of you could tell me if they are any good.

This is a 2009-10 Playoff National Treasures NBA Gear Dual Prime featuring James Johnson of the Bulls. Like I said I have no idea who this dude is but I really like the card, I like most types of jersey cards and it doesn't hurt that its numbered to only 49.

The last bball card I picked up was this 2009-10 SP Game Used Signature Fabrics of Ramon Sessions. It features a nice jersey auto combo although the auto looks as if the pen used was the wrong type for the card.
It was nice to win these few cards so I could get an idea of what products in other sports are like but I dont think I'm going to start collecting anything other than baseball so the above cards are all available for trade. Let me know if your interested.

Bring on the Phillies!!!!

More Ginter minis!

This is going to be a short post since I'm writing this on less then two hours sleep because I thought it was a good idea to stay up late to watch the playoffs. How about Halladay? What a game he had!
Anyway I got an unexpected package from John of Pursuit of 80's(ness) the other day. In the package was a stack of 2010 Ginter and also six new minis. Theres no pictures today since my camera is still without batteries.
He sent me two regular backs of Papelbon (SP) and Gallardo. Really happy with the Papelbon since I didnt expect any Sox cards from a Sox fan.
There were also two Ginter backs of Matt Holliday and Matsui.
One black bordered card also featuring Matsui.
Finally a National Animal card of New Zealand featuring the most fierce and dangerous animal ever... the Sheep.
Thanks for the cards John, expect something from me within the next few days.
I picked up a Topps Chrome hobby box last night! and was refunded for it a few hours after paying. I had a feeling that was going to happen since the guy was only charging $8 for shipping rather than the expected $15 to $25.
Its probably a good thing he refunded me since I've spent way too much this month on cards but at the same time a little disappointed.

2010 Topps Triple Threads Adam Lind Emerald

All mine!!
This will be my 89th Lind card, although I only have 73 in hand. My next few mail days are going to be amazing!
And to make thing even better the Giants finally beat the Padres in a really exciting game to clinch the NL west. Shame I couldn't watch it live since my wife insisted that watching House and CSI would be much more entertaining and I couldn't record it either since she was also recording another episode of CSI.
Luckily the game is being repeated right now and even though I know the score the game is still fun to watch.

Steal of the century!!

Picked this up on eBay today, coming all the way from Australia! I didnt think I would stand a chance at winning a card like this because I know there are many other Lind collectors out there who usually outbid me on the lower numbered cards. This Exquisite is numbered 19/20!

The same seller was selling this too. Another exquisite only this one is numbered 14/15.

So how much did I pay for these two high end, low numbered autographs?

Less than £10! Or $13 if you prefer.

Bargain!
